Happy New Year
I would like to welcome 2005 with the hope that it will be a great year.
2004 was not the best year and I'm not sad to see it go.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy New Year's Eve celebration. My Christmas was one of the best that I can remember. On Christmas Eve, Lindsey and I spent the day with her parents her brother and his fiance, celebrating with a seafood gumbo and exchanging gifts. On Christmas morning we went to my Grandmother's house to visit with my Mom's side of the family. We stayed for lunch and had a very nice time. The rest of Christmas day was spent at my Dad's house, eating dinner and visiting for hours.
I really enjoyed all of it because I don't get to see my family and friends very often anymore. I would like to say how thankful I am that I was able to spend time with Nav, Ed, and my Mom, who all live out of state, which means we don't see each other much.
New Year's Eve was really great too. My brother, sister, and mother all came to New Orleans to hang out. We had dinner together and just took it easy for a while. At midnight we went down to the Mississppi River to watch the fireworks, but the fog was so heavy that I didn't see even one spark. We had a good time anyway.
Now that everyone is gone, I'm glad to have life get back to normal a little, but I'm also filled with a longing regret and sadness that I will not be able to spend more time with everyone for who knows how long. I'm already looking forward to the next holiday season.
