on such an occasion
the fusion of souls
in front of the altar
those words and tears
dress and candles
as friends and family watch
a ring to be placed
a harp's melody soothes
the chapel
as i stand next to his closest of friends
and watch a light being shared for eternity
i can only smile
on such an occasion
and think of a future warmth
a blooming taking place every day
no matter the season
