Looks Like I'm a Liar

Turns out the "Friends" thing I posted yesterday was hoax. I was pretty happy to hear that we'd get to see more "Friends," but the truth is it's probably better this way.

'Friends' Is Not Making a Comeback
The cast of Friends are not reuniting. Rumors that the six stars of the sitcom had each signed a new $3 million dollar deal to return to the show swept the internet yesterday. However, a spokeswoman for Warner Brothers, who made the show, insists there are no plans for any new episodes. She said: "There is absolutely no truth in it."

It was reported the cast had signed up to make four one hour specials next year. 'Friends', which ran for ten years, made household names out of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry.

The series followed their characters - Rachel, Ross, Monica, Joey, Chandler and Phoebe - as a group of twenty-something friends facing life and love in New York. The cast have had limited success since the show ended. Spin-off series 'Joey' which starred Le Blanc, flopped, while Lisa Kudrow vehicle The Comeback was cancelled by a US network after just a few episodes.

However, Schwimmer had a successful run in the West End play 'Some Girls', while Aniston has a released a number of moderately successful movies including Along Came Polly and The Good Girl.
