Get in on my Oscar Pool
The guys in my office love to bet on anything. Usually it's sports stuff, and I usually lose. In order to hedge my annual losses, I created an office Oscar pool in which we attempt to predict the winners in eight of the major categories.
So, I thought I might let you guys in on it if you're interested. To get in, click on the secure Paypal "Buy Now" button below, and send me your entry fee money. Don't worry, it's only $2.00 to get in. This means that the pot will be small, but it's the fun that counts, not the money, right?
Once you've paid the entry fee, just e-mail me your predictions for the winner in the eight categories below. The deadline for submission is Friday, February 18, 2005.
After the awards ceremony, I will compare everyone's picks with the actual results and we will see who the winner is. You will receive your winnings the week after the Oscars.
In the event of a tie, I have set-up a tie breaker. The movie "Cursed" directed by Wes Craven and starring Christina Ricci opens on the same weekend that the Oscars will be held. Just come up with what you think the movie will gross on opening weekend. If there is a tie, the person who guessed the number closest to the gross will be the winner. So, make sure to submit your prediction for that when your picks are submitted.
