This Happens All the Time

My office has a kitchen where everyone can eat lunch, and grab snacks provided by my employer. The kitchen also contains a three-pot coffee maker that stays busy. We have one pot for regular, one for decaf, and one for flavored coffee (which is apparently flavored like a turd...I can't believe anyone drinks it.)



The following happens all the time yet never ceases to amaze me. At about 10:00, everyone that is going to, has at least gotten their first cup of the day. I don't always drink two cups, but occasionally I decide that the trials of the day make necessary a second cup.



So, I get up from my desk and walk to the kitchen to find the coffee pot empty. Annoyed, I set the thing up to brew another pot and walk back to my desk to do some work while the coffee brews.



After about 5 - 7 minutes, I go back to the kitchen to pour a cup of coffee, and every damned time, there is only 1/4 to a 1/2 a pot left.



No one wanted coffee when the pot was empty, but as soon as I've brewed a fresh pot, it is descended upon by vultures immediately after I walk away.



A couple of times I've gone back after waiting the five minutes to find the pot EMPTY! In five minutes, the pot has been completely drained.



Unbelievable.
